Growing Home is one of ten winners of the 2009 Harry Chapin Self-Reliance Award. The award honors "organizations that go beyond emergency services to provide the education, training, and other supports necessary to end poverty" and includes a cash grant of $7,000. The award presented by World Hunger Year (WHY).
